This Privacy Policy explains how e.SCALEX ("we", "the Service") collects, uses, and protects information when a store owner connects their e-commerce store and WhatsApp Business assets to automate customer messaging.

1. Information We Process

• Store data (via authorized OAuth): products, prices, stock, shipping zones, store name, currency — used to build the AI assistant's knowledge.
• Order data: order reference, items, total, and the customer's name and phone number — used to send order confirmations.
• WhatsApp messages: messages exchanged between the store's customers and the AI assistant, to provide replies and order handling.
• Account data: the store owner's email and the access tokens needed to operate the assistant on their behalf.

2. How We Use It

We process this information solely to: build and run the store's AI assistant, answer customer messages, send order confirmations, and update order status. We do not sell personal data.

3. Storage & Security

Data is stored on secured servers. Access tokens are stored encrypted. Customer message data is processed to generate replies and is retained only as needed to operate the Service.

4. Third-Party Processors

• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to send/receive WhatsApp messages.
• E-commerce platforms (e.g. YouCan) — to read store data and update orders, with the store owner's authorization.
• AI providers (e.g. OpenAI) — to generate assistant replies. Message content may be processed to produce responses.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the processors above, strictly to operate the Service, and only as authorized by the store owner. We do not sell or rent personal data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

A store owner can disconnect their store and WhatsApp assets at any time; upon disconnection we stop processing and delete the associated store data and tokens. To request deletion, contact us at the email below.

7. Customers' Rights

End customers may request that their data be removed by contacting the store they ordered from, or us directly. We honor applicable data-protection rights.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
